Since I missed the last one, I'll be the first to sign on. Does that also mean that the hoon can be twice as long?

Chris, have I mentioned to you recently that I've actually driven Freddie's C-type?

That's nothing, the bulkhead on the passenger side is now partially constructed of my shoe leather. paperbag

ETA: Checked out the pub at about 3ish today (Sunday):

There were plenty of spaces (certainly more than The Plough had 10 minutes later on the way past!) but they were quite spread out. The car park is pretty much open plan though, so you'd be able to see everyone even if they were well distributed! Didn't go inside, but McMullen's are usually pretty reasonable for big chain pubs. Has to be said the weather was absolutely superb and it was mid-August in the school holidays, so doubt it would be any busier by mid September. Fingers crossed we get the same conditions.

I may be along in my FTO, depends on the lovely fiance. I am pretty active on the FTO OC and the Mazda 3 forum. Would be nice to be ona forum where you meet and there is a real mix of cars.

Did any of you go on the tunnel run? There was a FTO one at the same time but we clearly didnt cross pathes.

Hi Stu,

Haven't done the tunnel run but I did Thunder in The Tunnels in my TVR last year and there was an FTO there I seem to recall, wasn't you by any chance?

Not me buddy but hope to do more tunnel runs. Last weekend was my first one and loved it! Bet your TVR sounds nice through a tunnel!

It did. frown

It's now gone to a better place (actually that's a lie, it's gone to Hackney). To be fair my new toy sounds reasonably manic for a four-pot, but crucially it can also pass track day noise tests (unlike the Tiv).

Not up close it doesn't! It's an ex-racer with scars to prove it and the guy who sold it to me described it as a '50 foot car' ...looks great at 50 feet! smile

It is a lot of fun though. I think I need a nice smart TVR to polish (and listen to) and the Caterham to bounce mercifully over curbs on track days. If only...

Don't suppose you're the Finchley/Whetstone type area? I drive past a somewhat modified blue FTO on the way to work. Not really into the modified look, but that one catches my eye every time I go past.
