Here is one for you Londoners. What is the best route to drive to regents park from Heathrow airport at 2pm?

The M4 isn't my potential problem I don't think, its once I get to the end of it, should I go the long way around the A406 and come down Finchley Road or just hope its not an absolute nightmare and take the A40 after getting through West London.

Need to pick my brother up tomorrow and with the heavy clutch in my car, not looking forward to stop start traffic.

I'd do M4-M25-A40 then turn left at the park.
The North Circular is a hateful road

I'd go M4 Spur - M4 Eastbound (towards London), then up north on the A312 to the A40 and then all the way in, turn left at the park.

M4- M25- A40

I live in Uxbridge and promise you it is the easiest and simplest route.

Get some traffic round acton way with the road works but you should be fine after.

probably too late but i'd avoid the m25 because of the roadworks. using the a312 would be more viable. personally i would go in on the m4 take a left on exhibition road where the natural history museum is, through the park and up sussex gardens where you can then join marylebone road.

Yes, you're a teeny bit late. The OP made the journey on the 10th July.

All done now but for Irf, the roadworks are after the m40 so you can slip on there before you hit any traffic.

I fail to understand why you'd go out and around the M25 when the A312 is dual carriageway all the way except the last mile or so. But there you go.
