At the Plough, Crews Hill, Enfield or subject to a miracle at the Royal Chace Hotel, The Ridgeway, Enfield.

Time: 15.00? Suggest the 31st, as the 24th of May is the date of the Monaco GP.

So gents, where are we going to hold it? The format of brief-ish afternoon meet followed by an evening hoon in the last of the sunshine worked very well last time I thought.

I think the two important things are a time when we stand a reasonable chance of fitting everyone in the car park and, secondly, one which leaves some daylight and reasonably quiet roads for a trip out before or after.

Either way, I'm in! smile

ETA: Just seen the time. 3pm sounds about ideal in most respects, the only thing is if we're at the mercy of a public car park it may still be the tail end of Sunday lunch? A lot of that depends on the venue I guess.

Remember, we shifted the last meet to 4 p.m because of the projected lunchtime car park issue.

Now, that wouldn't be a problem if the Chase was the venue.

Let us know how you get on Freddie - as you probably saw, the duty manager and apparently the owner are both petrolheads. I spoke to the former and he was very keen to get us there and even hinted at insentives before the middle management put the cosh on it for reasons only they can decipher. Good luck! smile

Yes, incentives. Hmm, it's fortunate I don't have to spell things for a living isn't it? getmecoat

Anyway, fear not it wasn't anything innapropriate (sorry Blib) but he was talking about opening up a second bar around the back so we had somewhere to grab a drink in view of the cars and things like that. It seemed like a complete done-deal (and a no brainer for the hotel which wouldn't be using that space anyway) and then for reasons we're still not sure of his boss said no. Perhaps her boss, being a collector of classic Astons and all-round good egg, wouldn't?

A very well thought out and sensible idea that. Yes, you do that Mickk.

While you're at it, could you check out the surface of the car park? A few burn outs with the Cerb should do the trick.

Good man.

If I remember rightly there is a lot of gravel and stones in the Chase car park.
