Next saturday im driving up to London to watch Arsenal V Sunderland and was wondering which was the easiest station to park at to get the train in. Il be coming from the south west on the M3 and will be heading to Wales after the game.

Cheers.

It depends how far you want to come into central london.parking near the ground is very hard to find.
Anywhere upto about 2miles at least from the ground is residents only.
You could always drive into somewhere like victoria -there is free parking around there and if the victoria line is working get the victoria line to finsbury park then its a 10/15 walk to the ground.

I would prefer on the out skirts if possible. I usually park in Hammersmith but after seeing a programme saying its a car crime hot spot im not so sure now and you get ripped right off in the car parks!

If it's any help there is free parking in my road (Hungerford Road, London, N7) which is about 20 miutes walk from the gound. It's as safe as London can be. I'd make you a cup of tea but I'll be in the Midlands next weekend.

I thought I'd answered this but it seems not to have appeared.
My road is no busier on match day than any other time and if the next door neigbours get the bl**dy skip moved from outside my house there will be even more room.

sorry mate, I just wanted to make sure as all ive heard is that its madness around that area on match day and that you need a residents pass to park on the streets.

Cheers for the advice, I will park where you said smile

Got your email mate, will knock on the door when I get there will need a cuppa after the long drive.

The most direct route that just skims around the congestion charge is this one, how bad is traffic going to be, getting in and out?

That's pretty much the best route to me anyway, except the last bit.
At Kings X you will turn left into York Way as shown on your map.
At the top of York way the road splits and becomes Camden Park road. You have to follow this one way road.
Once in Camden Park Road you will pass a pub called the Lord Stanley (on your left). About 20 yards after that turn sharp right into Camden Mews (it says dead end but it isn't). At the top of camden mews, turn right then immediately left and you are in Hungerford Road.

It's easier than it sounds.

Just a quick shout to say thanks for letting me know about the parking. It was absolutely perfect and I will definitely be using it again in the future!

Was just a shame Arsenal played like a bunch of complete, clueless..wa....

Hi Alistair,

Sorry I wasn't in. I was told that I was going shopping!
In answer to any questions, the answer is yes, I'm a mouse.
I got back about 3.30 and I must admit that it did sound a bit quiet at the Emirates
