Greetings from the frozen north!

I'm trying to get to Denmark Hill on a friday lunchtime. Parking is tough round there so I was thinking of leaving the motor at Welling station and taking the train from there.

Whadayathink? Is Welling station choked? Is it actually worth driving to Denmark Hill and risking it?

Or do you have a cunning plan, so cunning you could pin a tail on it etc etc (copywrite Blackadder) that would knock mine into a cocked hat.

All advice gratefully received. Unless you are rude wink

How long do you need to park for?

There is a large Sainsburys (with car park) on Dog Kennel Hill, which is not too far to walk to Denmark Hill from.

Otherwise, you should be able to find spaces in the residential roads around Ruskin Park. I'd check lambeth for details of their restrictions though.

Cheers Bri

I'd be wanting about 3 hours from 13:30ish so a Sainsbury might not be friendly to me. I am willing to walk up to half an hour if I can find somewhere on road but have an appointment that must be kept so don't want to take too much of a risk hunting a space down.

Multistoreys etc are fine - but I can't find one closer than Elephant And Castle at the mo. I'd rather be further out towards Bexley etc since I'm going to Cambridge afterwards.

Looking at this, it appears the there is no CPZ around the Ruskin Park area, thats about 5-10 mins walk from Kings and Denmark Hill.

I'd ring and check though.

Thanks BT - the area I'm after is on the border so Bri's info is very helpful too. It's looking like there is uncontrolled street parking around the park (unless anyone knows otherwise) which appears promising and is just a short walk from my target.
