Red and white Stratos going up the M1 this evening at around 7pm. Seems like too much of a coincidence, but there again I think I did see this particular car before I heard it, so maybe not.

That was me!!!!!

I was on my way to Silverstone for the Classic Car racing weekend. I've just got back. It was bloody fantastic!

The weather was incredible, the racing was excellent and there were 10 other replica Strats in attendance at our Club area.

If any of you get a chance to go next year, do so. You can get close and personal to some of the most famous racing machinery on the planet. And the club areas are terrific.

Everywhere you looked there were incredible cars.'frinstance. you want to see six F40's an F50 and an Enzo in a line. No problem. 400 Porkers in one place? Sure. You name it, it was there. And you can get really close. I loved it.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!!!

Ooh & Chris, there were loads of Tivs there mate...you really gotta go!

I was off car shopping (and further PHer spotting - cycled past Graeme on the same evening!)

The insurance company finally got their act together and decided they were going to write the Citroen off after all, so I had one day to find the new car. I looked at a Renault Clio DCi 80 (nice, but too small and plasticy), a Peugeot 306 D-Turbo (great design, but that example was knackered), an Alfa 147 (beautiful car, all the right toys, but much to the salesman's embarassment it wouldn't start for a test drive!) and so finally played it safe bought a Focus.

The TVR meanwhile picked up a slow-flat driving home on Wednesday night (got sick of using that Corsa...) and just about managed to limp home where it remains waiting for new shoes.

So, not doing too well car-wise.

On the upside I got to road test a Murtaya yesterday and that is a stunning piece of kit. I also got to do these last week:
