Car Parking - Soho
Discussion
I've got to travel down to London this weekend and pick my brother up, we're staying overnight in a hotel that he's organised in central Soho. I thought I'd check last night, and the hotel doesn't have a car park
I don't have a clue about central london these days, so if anyone down there has any advice or knows if it's possible to book car parking in advance fairly nearby that would be a massive help. I think it's been about 10 years since I was last down there.
I've remembered the ULEZ and congestion charges

I've lived here for 30yrs and gave up parking in Soho or the west end years ago. It is possible but v expensive esp overnight. And as noted above, there are lots of ways for the uninitiated to get fined.
Where will you be coming from? Best bet is to park near train or tube further out and use public transport for the last bit.

If you can drive, you can drive in London.
You can find places to park around Soho but as others have said, parking overnight will be expensive. If that doesn’t put you off, I’d suggest just googling “soho car park”.
There is one at the eastern end of the main Chinatown “strip” (behind the fire station on Shaftesbury Avenue) which could hardly be more central. Link here: https://www.q-park.co.uk/en-gb/cities/london/china...
Not cheap though.

Thanks for all the replies, appreciated!
I’ve driven in Europe a fair bit and braved the centre of Paris so not too worried about London. Used Q Park in Soho as recommended. I’ve made it down here fine and got parked next to a lovely 964 in the most expensive car parking space I’ve paid for in my life
Cheers all
I’ll update with nerdy PH stats on the return leg, I suspect it’s going to have cost more in congestion, ULEZ and parking charges than it has in diesel to get my particularly leggy 5 series down here haha
