Good driving roads out East
Discussion
I live near Leyton and have just bought a 996, so obviously am keen to get driving it, but unsurprisingly the roads round here are not good for 'driving' driving.
I've explored out towards chigwell and a bit stansted direction (basically the M11 is the best route out of town) but the roads are still quite congested / dull / windey country lanes where you cant get going.
So can anyone recommend some good driving roads in SW Essex that I can enjoy the car a bit more?

As above. Come off the M11 at Loughton, turn right at the bottom of the slip road then go towards Thaxted and Finchingfield via Abridge, Little End, Chipping Ongar, Fyfield and Dunmow. If you want to extend it, rather than just coming back to the M11, then head west from Finchingfield, pick up the A507 at Buntingford and go to Baldock, bit of boring stuff to the B656 at Hitchin then get on the A1 at Welwyn and head back to London. Or just turn round at Baldock, do the A507 again then back down the A10.
Used to be a favourite of mine when I lived in Wapping.
