Sorry for the odd title but basically a friend has asked me for a recommendation as they are coming to London and I'm stumped. So this is the situation -

They have somewhere to eat already decided and they don't drink so are looking for something to do after eating on a Saturday night in central london that doesn't involve being in loud bars or anywhere that is crowded. They also want whatever they do to be socialable so they don't want to do the theatre.

I'm out of ideas.. over to you!

Smart hotel lounge bar ? Claridges, Dorchester, Mandarin, Bulgari. Expensive enough to dissuade the binge drinkers, food not compulsory, very sociable.

You could go for a walk down the embankment or the south bank.

The London Eye is always a site.

Or

The Emirates Air Line?
