When the development is all finished........... do you think it will still have four chimneys?

One of the conditions of the development, must have the 4 chimneys and also the big blue water cooling tower must be put back as it was also, the building is listed possibly heritage ?? I know that the chimneys will be demolished and re built as the condition of them is quite poor

Oh yes, I know that's the plan and that was a condition of the development, but do you think it will happen?

The developer could "run out of funds".

I think they have already pre-sold a lot of the properties in the first phase to be built

They have pre sold everything !!

First 24 hours everything valued at over £1m gone

36 hours every single dwelling unit, ie studios and 1 beds gone

48 hours nothing left !

I live on the opposite side of the park and the development has pushed the property prices up in the area astronomically, just wait till embassy gardens goes live also !!

Sadly it's also meant that the police and local authority have been influenced enough to have the Chelsea cruise just about closed down....

In my book they should have flattened the bloody place years ago frown could have been a lot of developments in that space.

As for the Chelsea cruise, it got tamed years ago frown There used to be places down the Kings road you could stop and get a burger at and see a line of parked custom cars, There were clubs down there too with a lot of people walking around, sadly those places shut down so the actual kings road became a ghost road with nothing of interest on it. The Prince Albert pub also used to be a good place to watch the cars go by then they bought in width barriers at Albert bridge, this deterred the large 50s yanks away from the bridge, residents in the area also had great sway with the rozzers and then cars were forced to start using Battersea park, turning the so called cruise into a static car display. Then the introduction of Bus lanes and red routes and of course Cameras added to the demise, not forgetting the hi police anti terrorist presents filming the cars and entering details of all the cars using the park and massive speed ramps preventing low cars from gaining entrance to the car park! rage Sadly the new residential flats by the old bridge café have also complained about the crowds and parking. Its just not the same anymore frown
An era gone. frown

Yup sadly that's the way things are fatboy, but remember Westminster council allow you to hit 3 figures in your super car up sloane street down Knightsbridge and up to Hyde park without any complaints from the police or local authority ! That's what pisses me of.

The speed some of those pee nar ses get to is crazy ! Even the limo drivers are hitting crazy speeds, only a matter of time before something real bad happens due to speed but an almost static cruise is a problem, the "man" can feck of on this one !!
