We are heading up to town on Saturday for a few beers.
Plan is to meet at Vauxhall station and walk to Battersea park, via a few pubs, to watch the fireworks, then heading into Soho after.

Anyone have any suggestions for bars along the way?

There is a great place called Chariots just by Vauxhall Station.

There are a couple of pubs opposite/near Battersea Dogs Home towards the park entrance. Thats it.

I can recommend The Canton Arms on South Lambeth Road, but thats a 10 min detour off your route. It does fois gras toasted sandwiches though. That might swing it?

The bit from Vauxhall Station to Battersea Dogs Home is dull. I'd get the train to Queenstown Road and go to the Mason's Arms then into the park.

Yes, don't bother.

Get a bus to Battersea Park station and go to a couple of the pubs around there. Otherwise you will spend your evening walking down a dual-carriageway past some building works.

Quite a few nice pubs right next to the park - Mason Arms and The Price Albert - but I imagine these will be packed so maybe try the Duke of Cambridge or the Latchmere which are about 5-10min walk from the park.

Another vote for the Mason's arms - good pub.

Will be having a Halloween party that day on Battersea Park Road, can see the fireworks from our balcony. You can come if you bring 5 fit single women for every man.

You could get off at Clapham Junction and do a few of the pubs from there to the park - is about a 15/20 min walk. So hit a few pubs around Junction and then head down, think there's 3/4 pubs on the way down depending on which route you take.

Yeah, this sounds like your best plan plus get a few spare tickets so you can bring along any suitable acquaintances on the way ;-)

You have a choice of slug&l, falcon or revolution outside the station (former and latter is the best choice if your on the prowl) then head up the hill to Sugar Cane or the one next door where I'm sure it will still be happy hour.

Then a cab down Latchmere Rd and depending on time and traffic either the Fox & Hound or onto the Duke of Cambridge if its free flowing.

From experience (the Duke was my old local, and I now live overlooking the park), both of these will be impenetrable. Trying to get a beer in a pub in Battersea after the fireworks is a lost cause.

While the display is something everyone should see once, the general chaos that accompanies it is the reason I'm getting the hell out of Battersea for the weekend.
