Planning on visiting the Hunterian Museum on Sat, are there any charges for driving into the area WC2A 3PE?

If so do I pay in advance or pay after? - I don't usually drive into London but have to on this occasion

There's no Congestion Charge on Saturdays to pay. A fair amount of parking spaces around Lincolns Inn Fields, so you should be okay. Parking might be pay and display machines or could be Pay by Phone, which can be a pain the first time you have to call.
Other stuff to remember for occasional London drivers,traffic cameras are everywhere! keep well out of bus lanes, timings can vary on one stretch of road! Double check the parking bay you are in is not suspended, a resident/diplomat bay etc.

Might be worth installing the 'pay be phone' app before you set out. Set up faff on comfort of home then quick to use.
