I'm on the hunt for a vintage road bike. Something like a Raleigh or Peugeot from the 80's.

I'm conscious of the stolen market and would prefer to buy from a shop rather than mess about with eBay and such. I'm going to try camden cycles and maybe station bikes in walthamstow.

Are there any other shops worth try that aren't on the Internet? I'm in W10.

Cheers

Everything cycling on Forest Road near Hoe Street usually has a selection of used bikes for sale. Might be worth a look if you are coming to Walthamstow.
Just because they're for sale from a shop doesn't mean they are any less likely to be stolen!smile

There's a shop on Kings Road at the world end estate that has dozens of used bikes for sale. Some look pretty ropey though.

There are loads of good bike shops in east london these days, if that isn't too far from you I can make some suggestions.
