Hi all,

My wife is going to Wembley on the 30th to see Robbie Wiliams, rather than face the hell that is parking on site I've suggested she either drives into London and gets the Tube or parks somewhere safe nearby but away from the masses.
Just after suggestions really - We could train it in from St Neots but coming home we'd likely only make the last train and if we missed that one we'd be stuck in London hence the decision to drive instead.
Alternatively any places nearby Wembley (20 minute or so walk that are safe to park?

Drive and park up at Stanmore (just off M1) and jump on the Jubilee line to Wembley (3 or 4 stops - takes 10 minutes).

Last train back north leaves at 00.24 so gives you plenty of time plus the trains are quieter going north as everyone goes south to meet up with the mainline at Euston,KingsX,etc.

If parking is full at Stanmore (unlikely) then go on to Canons Park tube station where you are guaranteed to get a space.

Car parking at either is only £1.50.

Thankyou so much for that, sounds pretty perfect and we'll look into the parking at each...

if you head to stanmore station, the road directly next to it is called merrion avenue. its residnts permit parking during the week and up till 6.30 at weekends. drive all the way to the end (approx 500 yds) do a left, over the little hump back bridge and park anywhere you want.

8 mins walk back up to the station and nicer than Canons park.
