Want to start buying/selling used cars! HELP PLEASE!

Firstly I apologise if thi is in the wrong section (new to the forum)

I'm planning to buy/sell used cars within London, I have many links to cheap bodywork aswell as mechanical works therefore my costs will be considerably cheaper than the average joe.

I just wanted to know what is required to be able to do this, for example, I've heard of this Traders section or the need to become a trader? My question is what is this exactly? do I really need to do it? and also if I do what will be the complications?

To be honest your post is very unclear, and I think you'd be better off posting in a more read section of the forum. There isn't much traffic in this London section, and anyway becoming a car trader is the same anywhere in the UK so you are asking in the wrong place.

If you want to become a trader on pistonheads yes you will need to pay of course! Look under classifieds trade accounts.

If you are asking more generally then I'd be more specific and phrase your question(s) more clearly.
Also search first, I bet many other people have asked this in the past.

I think he's referring to the hidden traders sub-forum. Look in General Gassing and there's some posts about dealers (not very complimentary) and you may find more luck there.

You will need to pay the right taxes and comply with the sale of goods act which means essentially you need to stand buy your cars once you've sold them. You will need a trader's insurance policy. Some local authorities are getting funny about home based traders selling cars from the road side.
