Bloke at work is going for lunch on Saturday and says the only parking he can find is NCP and it will cost £35.

Any alternatives?

park on the street using Westminster Pay by Phone (easy to set up calling them first time - reg and cc number) and it'll cost 4 quid an hour or so.

Street parking is usually a bit hit and miss round there. Which NCP is it? The one at Adam's Row is pretty close, and nice and quiet (beneath, IIRC, a hotel).

Max stay is 4 hours I think, then you'd have to move to another bay as the phone wont accept the same bay location number again. I'd go for the Park Lane underground car park, nice metal in there and only about a 10min walk to the hotel. Or grab a cab for about £4.

Blue badges don't count in Westminster you need one of their badges. There are some bays you can park in but not many. You would have to check on the council website.

Its bang in the middle of the northbound Park Lane. Nearest tube would be either Hyde Park Corner (Piccadilly Line) or Marble Arch (Central Line)

Entrance in the link below

Don't need a specific Westminster one afaia, but ONLY park in a designated disabled bay or you will get a ticket and again only a 4 hour stay permitted. There's a couple right behind the hotel on Bruton Mews;

Thought that Claridges had their own parking within Three Kings Yard (around the corner). No idea how much to park in there though.

If I'm doing W1 of a weekend I always park in the City and either tube or cab it in - usually cheaper, as City is free to park after about noon, and usually a few spots near St. Pauls (from where only 15mins to Claridges via Central Line). Cheaper and easier, but I live to North East so may not work here.
