Thought I'd answered this by looking at the charge map but I'm not sure now. I was staying at the Burns Hotel in Kensington over the past couple of days, pretty near to Earls Court tube station. I drove in from Wembley direction and back out the same way. I didn't see a big red C but can a few locals confirm as the maps I've seen talk of a western extension covering Kensington & Chelsea.

There was a western extension but it got scrapped a couple of years or so ago.

Okay but surely that area is either in it or it isn't?

Its outside. The western edge is Park Lane/Marble Arch/Vauxhall Bridge Road. Look for a current map on tfl website.

Think I've answered it from the official site. SW5 0EN isn't in it and as I came in from Barnet way I'm fine I think.

From that direction you can drive in as far as Knightsbridge and still be outside the one, so don't worry.
