I need to visit a site just outside Oxford (Culham Science Centre). I'll be flying in and lifting a hire car. Just wondering which would get me there fastest out of Luton and Heathrow? Luton is slightly further away but I don't know what the traffic situation is like around Heathrow and that part of the M25 in the morning?

Cheers.

Heathrow about 30 minutes less. Could be royally fked up and wildly variable depending on traffic, weather, accidents etc. etc.

I'll try and leave myself some extra time then, thanks.

Luton to Oxford would be a pig of a drive in the rush hour unless you knew all the right back roads. Even then it would be much longer than from Heathrow.

Yea I ended up booking Aer Lingus for Heathrow, never made it in the end though ended up with a nasty bout of Norovirus. Should be heading this week at some stage.

Right figured I'd bump this instead of starting a new thread again.. I've to head to Bracknell in the morning, looking at flights now. Is there a "best time" to be on the M4 in the AM?
