Really must get round to getting my spare set of wheels done, could do with something near me at Harlow, or anywhere between here and the city.

Need a full strip and re-finish rather than a mobile jobbie

Been recommended Lepsons (Gillingham) and BJV (Nr Amersham) but would rather something nearer as long as its a quality outfit. Ideas?

Think you may have answered your own question already above.
Lepsons is a name that has been around for a very long time and its the guys that I'm going to use when the time comes for me.

Shame, will have to wait for a reason to be in Kent then!

Cant believe that in the whole of London there is not a reputable outlet who can do a decent job!

Dan Moxon 07972104619 done a wheel for my mother which was badly kerbed and they done a great job.
I will use them for the wheels on my TVR but also to respray the front end.

I've supposedly got a mobile guy coming round in the next few weeks to SE16.
If he's any good, I can pass on his details?

Alex does most of the central London dealer work - http://www.poshwashlondon.co.uk He used to do work for me while I was running a dealership on Park Lane. Make sure that you are clear as to whether you are looking just for a refurb on the face of the wheel or a full strip and repaint.

If you don't mind a trip out to Essex, alloyart will be a bit cheaper if you are looking for a full strip and repaint - http://www.alloyart.co.uk

Chalk and Cheese. Lepsons are well regarded for good reason, but recently even their standards have slipped a little. Had to send back 2 sets of wheels over the 1st 6 months this year. Lepsons is a safe bet,

Chris at Exel Wheels has a great service. He'll come to you, take your wheels off and fit on loan wheels in the meantime. He has loan wheels for plenty of different models.

Once your wheels are refurbed, Chris comes back and swaps them back for the loan wheels. I used Chris recently to refurb the wheels on my CSL, Chris also sorted out new tyres all round (Michelin Pilot Super Sports) for comfortably less ££ than the usual online retailers.

Chris oversees every job and is fastidious. Very highly regarded on 911uk forum, they're a fussy bunch!!

+1 for Chris and Lepsons- I can't recommend them highly enough. Just had my Golf Ed 30 wheels (the satin black ones, with polished rims) refurbed by Lepsons- exceptional attention to detail. Chris' service was fantastic, delivering the wheels back to Bristol (he provided loan wheels to keep us mobile). As an added bonus, I got a tour of Lepsons- really is an extremely impressive operation.
