Where to leave the car on the weekend - South of Greenwich

Hello London!

I could do with some advice please and require a bit London knowledge.

This weekend I have planned a slightly random setup, it might not be my greatest of ideas but here goes.... Plan is to drive from Bristol to London Friday night, park somewhere south of Greenwich type way. Pull my bike out of the boot and leave the car there until Sunday morning. Ride from there via one of the foot tunnels to my mate's flat in Stratford (right next to the stadium, no parking, hence ride in!). Do the Olympic thing this weekend, got tickets to some random hockey and hang out by the stadium.

Sunday morning ride back to the car, drive to the surrey hills, meet a few pals there, go ride a lap of the hills, pint and cake, drive back to Bristol.

This means I need to leave my clio 182 somehwere vaguely close to the Greenwich on a Friday night and hope that it is still there come Sunday morning. Without incurring parking fees if possible.

Does a quiet leafy unrestricted street exist? Dont mind a couple of extra kms on the bike for peace of mind.

Any suggestions?

You might want to try a website called parkopedia, I managed to park for free at the elephant and castle a few days ago thanks to that site. If you don't have any luck, there's loads of places you can park in woolwich/charlton, but I don't know if I'd want to leave my car there overnight.

Leave it in one of the side roads by Eltham Park (SE9) - perfectly safe and only 10 minutes cycle to Blackheath and Greenwich.

Try in Lee, SE12, the roads off of Burnt Ash Hill near the Tigers Head pubs should be fine, can walk up the hill to Blackheath and over in to Greenwich. No parking restrictions on most of these roads either, a local car rental place uses them for overspill parking which causes a lot of grumbling amongst the residents!
