Sunday parking near Ronnie Scotts Soho, W1D 4HT
Discussion
Hi all,
I am travelling with the band to Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club this Sunday and I have been left in charge of finding some suitable parking!
Does free Sunday parking exist in London? If not does anyone know any good priced carparks as near as possible to Ronnie Scotts?
I have a had a look on google and there are a couple of 'q-park' carparks charging £6/hour, anyone know of anything better?
The band are playing over lunch, I don't actually know how long their set is though, I imagine parking will be needed from roughly 11am-3pm.
Thanks

Single yellows and pay and display/pay by phone bays are free on Sundays. You might struggle with the limited space around Soho and anywhere south of there, but should be okay for space just north of of Oxford Street, around Mortimer Street towards Great Portland Street and the side roads between them, just a few minutes walk back to Soho.
Make sure you don't park right on corners of the streets, on resident/diplomat/doctor bays, dropped kerbs etc (all pretty obvious, but the wardens/cameras will ticket for anything!)

Use the Westminster pay on the phone system, although Jeremy Clarkson slated it, its good.
Park on the North side of Oxford Street, and walk down. There's usually loads of empty bays there, and a five minute walk.
+1 that, its quieter and safer (for your car) north of oxford street, less chance of random damage people leaning on it etc.Park on the North side of Oxford Street, and walk down. There's usually loads of empty bays there, and a five minute walk.
Surely if you are with a band you are in a knackered transit or LDV though?
Thanks for the help guys, I managed to park just north of Oxford street as recommended
I was only with one member of the band so no knackered old transits this time!
If anyone is interested, here is a youtube link to some footage of the gig, it went really well
