Westfield Stratford - No Parking

For anyone deciding to drive to Westfield shopping centre, all car parks are now closed till the end of September.

It is all to do with the Olympics / paralympics. Causing chaos for those who work there and need deliveries etc.

Absolutely bloody bonkers! They closed the small marina close to the white-water centre at Waltham Abby a year ago because of the 'threat' from terrorism. They are also going to close the towpath running alongside the stadium complex, even though there is a twelve foot fence, topped with an electric deterrent and, have had security patrolling the canal-side since building began. They have erected temporary buildings, so as to mask the sight of cafes the other side of the canal. Bonkers, bonkers, bonkers...

The whole thing is a mess. Sad to say but we are paying for this chaos and the organizers don't care.

Stated reason is security. Why they have to close over 1 month before, rather than say a few days before, and stay shut until well past the paralympics is beyond me.

I’m fed up to the back teeth with the whole thing as are all my neighbours. Local communities are being alienated not included. The sooner the whole mess is behind us the better.

The games are a complete mess-The planning for traffic management has been done by consultants who cannot or will not give any answers to any questions .I was ghoing to ask how much they had earnt !
Public money is being wasted in large amounts making some people well off for life whilst many smaller companies could go under-the effect will be London wide-not just Stratford area.
The legacy will be much the same as other host nations-visit Barcelona and you will see
