When I was driving to Head of the River a few months back, I passed this building... http://g.co/maps/7xae3

It was a car showroom with a 1970's Alfa of some king, a DB5, possibly 6 and a few other fabulous cars. What is this place called, I cannot find it anywhere on the internet and obviously it wasn't there when Google were taking their photographs.

Thanks,
Bob

Landmark Cars. http://www.landmarkcars.co.uk

It has recently opened. The owner and staff are very passionate about their cars.
One of my friends works there on Mondays (Alain)

Interesting selection of stock that they're acquiring!

No business has survived there successfully, but hey, wish them all the best! Definitely gives me some eye candy when the tailbacks for Hammersmith flyover are long!

It's a fairly new building. I remember there was a pub there not long ago.

Don't remember a pub? Remember TVR being there and then it was dead advertising space for a while. Can't remember what was there before.. wasn't it one of the bigger manufacturers?

It must be a long time ago! The site was vacant for years, except for advertising boards. The council insisted that the land was put to better use than just the boards, so the flagship TVR showroom was built.
I was due to be interviewed there for the position of sales manager, but on the day of the interview Blackpool called up to say that there was a change of plan and the showroom would be closing in a couple of months.

Given what revenue the electronic advertising board must bring in there I expect that renting out the space below is still of secondary importance to the owner.

Got a very nice maserati (silver) in the window, as well as a very tidy and eclectic mix of others.
Only the fullers brewery takes my attention on that embarrassment to the nation joke of a journey to work.....
happy another distraction has been put in place.
Mmm, perhaps the Goverment has just hired a few cars to placate the likes of us till July 27th !!!
I do like looking into Audi and BMW to see there old cars strewn accross the upper levels too.

If you see a guy in a sign written (electrics) silver connect, passed out at the wheel due to a lack of aircon this week......help out a fellow P.H brother !!

Liz Taylor once gave an interview commenting that on her way in from Heathrow she would always stop for a drink there

Took a look round the showroom last week, a growing collection of interesting motors- best of which in my opinion is a 1985 Le Mans (winner I think)Porsche 956B. Noticed a black Cobra has now appeared as well, perhaps wander down for another look. Proprietors seem to have a good history in the business- worth a visit, they're more than happy to have walk in wanderers.

More recently it had been a fancy kitchen showroom and prior to that a TVR dealership- current set up is the best use so far.

I heard their F40 go past my house this morning. Never seen or heard F40 on the road. At first from the sound I thought it was a motorbike. Then as it went past I realised what it was. He lifted off and all you can hear the lovely crackle from the exhausts presumably unburmt fuel. Was nice and shiny am pretty sure is the Ferrari F40 from Landmark Cars Chiswick

The F40 has been on display for a good week with the number plate covered up. I think the F40 that went past my house was the same one but going too fast to know but cannot be many around so presumably that one ....
