I'll be leaving Stansted tomorrow about 16:00 - heading to Maidstone.
So M11, M25, M20.
It should take about an hour - but what journey time can I expect at that time of day ?

Thanks in advance. (Northern monkey - not used to the traffic of that there London. I'm usually driving in Sweden, where you're lucky to see other vehicles).

Hour? You'd be lucky even at midnight.

I'd say 1.5/2 hours.

Thanks Matt.

Well it SHOULD be about an hour - roughly 60 miles on the motorway.

Your only other routing option is M11 all the way into London, runs into A12 all the way to Blackwall tunnel, through that then all the way back out to the M25. If the QE2 bridge is stuffed for some reason its an option but you won't be the only one trying that. It works better N-S than in reverse though, the Blackwall tunnel N bound is shocking.
