I'm going to the Chelsea - Spurs match tomorrow. I live in Barnet, so public transport would be a schlep - would have to go into Kings Cross, then out again and the tubes will be rammed.

Instead I'm thinking of driving somewhere further out, like Rayners Lane, then getting the Met line for a few stops. Does anyone know if parking is available there. Or am I better off somewhere further out like Uxbridge? Basically the aim is to go out rather than into town for the journey back on Met line.

Cheers

Well its a Sunday so I would imagine most places are free.

A quick squizz on google streetview, the parking restrictions for Rayners Lane look like Mon-Sat 8.30-6.30

There's pretty strict parking restrictions round Wembley on match days.

When I went to soo Foo Fighters there on the Friday, I looked for a station to a train or tube line that when straight their. Then parked near that station. So just left with a few stops on the train. Not much of a problem.

From Barmet surely it's easier to use Watford to Wembley on the overground or one of the Met Line stations from Watford to Harrow?

thanks chaps. Hatch End looks good, with an overground link. Some of the areas around Wembley are not the best to leave a nice car, hence my question.

Stanmore is gridlocked when there's a game on.
