hi,
i will be travelling from wigan via train to london euston to pick up a car which is located in kingston-upon-thames. i'm not really a fan of the tube or trains so i would ideally like to take a taxi from euston to kingston. there will be me and my dad coming so it would make sense to order a taxi instead of tube fare and train fare. can anyone recommend a company to hire a taxi for this distance?

What day are you coming and at what time.

If it is a week day the traffic will be horrendous. Allow for well over 1hr to make the journey in a minicab.

Just search for a local minicab company near Euston to take you and get some quotes. It will probably be a £30-40 journey.

Personally I would take the train - it will be SO much quicker - victoria line to Vauxhall - then train straight to Kingston.

i will be there on monday roughly between 12 and 2PM depending on when we get the train, i think it would be easier to get a taxi straight from euston to the car than rather train, tube then another train to get a taxi or to be met at the station.

As someone who goes through and across London daily, I'd completely disagree.

If you must take a cab, then pre-book.

Euston to Vauxhall - £4.30 (£2.00 if you have an Oyster card) - 11 mins
Vauxhall to Kingston - £4.10 - 24mins

So between £6.10 and £8.40 each, depending on whether you have an Oyster card or not.

I've no idea why you'd want to bother with the cost and time of a taxi ride for that journey.

Just log onto TFL Journey planner. One tube to Vauxhall, one train to Kingston, 45 minutes.

Agree that a taxi would be a bad idea. Euston is rather a long way from Kingston, which many folk don't really consider to even be part of London 'proper'. Get the train, it's lovely on the underground at this time of year.

I agree with the others because as much as I dislike it, public transport is the better option. If you insist on using a cab company the best in my opinion is Addison Lee, others may dissagree.

If you don't want to use the tube, take a black cab Euston to Waterloo, then train to Kingston.
I guess cab fare will be about £10 (tube 4.30x2) so not much difference.
