What are your views?

Rough like Pimlico or a decent area?

It's another one of those London areas of great little restaurants and bars right next to dodgy council estates.

Very expensive if you want to buy there and only 4 miles from Central London, it really depends on what part of Lavender Hill you'll be living in?

I'd say it's nicer down the Clapham Junction end and gets rougher as you head up towards Vauxhall.

At the Clapham end you'll have the station for London and anywhere South Coast and South-West plus you won't be far from Northcote Road which is like a village just off Wandsworth Common East-Side.

Just my experience of living just up the road from there.

Sorry - I don't mean rough, but Pimlico is more downmarket than it's neighbours and doesn't have a great name. One of those area's that's forever been tipped as about to come up. Still pretty pricey though!

Trying to gauge this out - Is Lavender Hill a pretty respectable and decent area, but nothing special in the same way as Clapham? Would you shudder if your 21 year old daughter was going to live in Lavender Hill?

no, most of my friends live in that area and are mostly the posh public school girl type

had some epic parties on sisters avenue.

If I had the choice, I'd go for Pimlico. You could walk into the West End and you have everything on your door step.

What a load of rubbish about Pimlico, it's a great place to live, as above it's right next to the West end and about as safe as anywhere can be in London
