ah, i've had similar problems. Might be worth going to any new residential apartment blocks and putting a note on noticeboards

Try Gumtree or even your local council. I must admit I was looking a while back but was shocked at what people are charging especially as you get nearer Central London. £200 a month seemed to be the norm.

£100 a month gets you a space outside someone's house round here SW17/18/19 and quite often that's just Mon to Fri.

Edited to add that the previous Gumtree link looks a real bargain for that area. I might get it myself for somewhere to live.

Unfortunately most of the cheaper garages that I have seen tend to be on estates, ie the type of estates where the garages are regularly broken into
