Anyone a member? Anyone using it for the times they need a boring car while having something more fun tucked away?

I've just signed up. Car was stolen on Friday, I rented a car for a few days to tide me over for some work and family trips I needed to do, but I figure this might meet my needs for the occasions when I need a car until insurance pays out. Having a quick and easy way to rent a van for a few hours could come in handy too.

I've used them for van hire on occasions when I've only need the van for a couple of hours. Never had a problem with them. Cheap, efficient, good clean vans... no problems at all.

The bmw1 series cars that they have are the choice of drug dealers and wanabe gangstas so you mind find yourself getting pulled on a regular basis

There's a car club car on our street - I regularly see the maintenance guys giving it a wash and hoover, they check all the fluids, tyre pressures and even the tread depths.

They're certainly looked after.

They are good for short journeys/evenings, but for weekends usual car hire companies can be cheaper.

My friend uses them all the time and has only had one issue but that was more with the call centre than anything else.

For some reason they put one of the parking spots in an underground car park meaning that the car couldn't get unlocked by sending it any signals and this was before the iPhone app was created and you could unlock it from the phone.

They happily gave him 2 free hires due to the issue.

Used them for a while. Usually went for the 1 and 3 series BMW. All very clean and reliable. Used a golf couple of times, it was really bad. for some reason that particular golf wasnt looked after properly.

Overall good service.

I'm a member, I used to use it regularly when I was living in Queens Park. Didn't have my car in London at that point and there was a Streetcar Golf pretty much outside my house. The cars are generally in good nick, Avoid the Golf's if you are planning Motorway usage as they are weedy 1.4 and seriously slow. Customer service is on the whole pretty good, only really had one issue and It got resolved very quickly.

Still do use them from time to time if I need a 'practical' car at short notice.
