Son works in an office on the riverside at the north end of the Millennium Bridge. Any suggestions for a pub/restaurant for a spot of lunch?

Not a case of what to spend, it's a lunch with my son not entertaining a client. Just wondered if there are some recommended pubs or restaurants which aren't too far up themselves.

The Swan at the Globe, on the South side, is my local work pub and the food is quite good. Can get fairly rammed in the evenings but at lunch time it's fine with a nice view of the river. http://www.shakespearesglobe.com/your-visit/eating...

Further along, closer to Southwark Bridge and again overlooking the river is The Real Greek. Good food, nice wine and cheap! http://www.therealgreek.com/menus.html

They are both on Bankside, which turns into Thames Path after going under Southwark Bridge.

Hope I'm not too late. There is a restaurant on the north side called Northbank which seems quite nice and not up its self. It's about 100 metres east of the bridge.

I work next door to the the Northbank a very nice restaurant with good staff, the owner let's his Bulldog roam around the bar so watch out for him. I've never eatean there but as soon as you leave my building the smell from the kitchen makes your mouth water lick.

You also have the High Timber Restaurant and The Samuel Pepys Bar & Restaurant a little further down towards Southwark Bridge. Both are meant to be very good, but I always have a liquid lunch beer.
