Hi,

I am heading to Hammersmith tomorrow and was wondering if anyone local could suggest a decent place to park?

I don't often head anywhere near London and gather that parking can be a little difficult at times!

I need to park locally to Crisp Road if at all possible, here: http://g.co/maps/2zf87

Will need to park from about 4pm - midnight. Do parking restrictions end at a certain time? Or do traffic wardens/clampers/tow truck work through the night?

Any advice on local car parks/streets to park would be great!

Just to add, on Google Streetview I notice the parking signs on local streets say:

8:30am - 6:30pm Permit Holders or Pay At Meter - Display Ticket - Max stay 4 Hrs.

So does that mean I could park at 4pm, buy a ticket for 2.5 hours and then stay after 6pm free of charge? Or could I only stay until 8pm as then my 4 hours 'max stay' would be up?

May not be much help but whenever in Hammersmith I always used the underground car park at the Novotel (chalk hill road nr the virgin active top right of your map) for security and to avoid parking on the street. Only a 5 minute walk from where you need to go.

Yes, correct.

And as it is half term, you have more than a good chance of getting a spot.

I park in Hammersmith W6 daily!
but I've got a space which I pay for (or rather am in the process of being evicted from rolleyes )- but prior to that, Kings Mall is the cheapest - and much cheaper than the novotel which charges something like 3/per hour for non-guests, which I think is about the same as Charing Cross hospital, which is only a stones through from where you're heading.

Thanks for all the advice guys smile

Also noticed on the link above that it is well within the Congestion Charge zone, so I went online to pay in advance but it says my vehicle doesnt need to pay to enter the congestion charge zone? Eh? It's not a hybrid it's a focus diesel!

I get this message:
Tuesday, 25 October 2011

Based on the vehicle registration mark (VRM) details you entered and information received by Transport for London (TfL) from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) no payment of the Congestion Charge is needed to drive into or within the Congestion Charge zone when using this vehicle, at this time.*

If you believe that this information is incorrect and you still want to pay the Congestion Charge then you can proceed to select your charge dates.

 • 'this time' refers to the chargeable period that starts from the previous charging day prior to today's date and finishes 64 working days from now.

It would have been but don't forget that the Western Extension was scrapped by Boris. I'm surprised TfL didn't just take your money anyway! Twunts! But you must have put an actual destination into the TfL website, rather than just paying?

Actually, I don't think Crisp Road would have been in the C Zone anyway? Something not been updated on that website? Either that, or I have missed something and you have decided to drive into London?
