You know what? I'm sick and tired of these kinds of idiots. I don't care what the reason is - it will cost tax payers to have the mess tidied up. It will cost tax payers to have the extra police there tonight.

Sometimes, I think they should come down harder on protesters - I'll even drive the water cannon free of charge.

Oh, yeah, and shops have been looted.

Apparently, to do with the guy who took a shot at a police officer and was killed thus saving tax payers money from prison costs.

When the cops stopped the cab he was travelling in, he had a Police radio and a handgun and shot at the cops, and he got shot dead, what are these idiots protesting over??? Justice

Police need to go in hard with things like this.........but of course their hands are tied what with all the parasitic court cases taking the plod to the cleaners for being heavy handed in the past. I don't envy that job.
If the fire brigade can't get in soon there will be a lot more catching fire from radiant heat and shop to shop.

That's what I heard too, which makes the whole thing utterly beyond me.

Actually, if you think about it, it makes sense. The sort of person who riots, doesn't really spend much time with his brain engaged and are more likely to do something because they've been stirred up by their friends or because it's a "laff".
