multiple previous owners
Discussion
I'm researching a purchase and I came across a 99 Esprit with three previous owners.
I know with a typical car, that might spell trouble. With this car, I'm not so sure. The service history was complete, and the car is immaculate. The current owner told me I could disregard the number of PO's because the car is one that requires a very special kind of person to own it. Many own them only to find that they aren't cut out for it.
Is this true? Should I be concerned or not?
Thanks..

If the service hsitory is there and the car is immacualte as you state, you are likely OK witht he purchase. A lot of buyers purchase an Esprit thinking "It's my dream car", then reality sets in about lack of time to drive it, no room for kids, etc. and they sell it.
Good luck on the yoru purcahse. Consider joining Lotus Ltd. (www.LotusCarClub.org) and come to the 25th annual Lotus Owners Gathering (LOG 25).
