Strange Handling V8S

I picked up the new V8S on Saturday morning and got straight onto the motorway for home. As it got up past 50mph the steering went extremely light and the car started to drift about in it's lane requiring lots of steering input to keep it straight.

Thought to myself 'what have I bought here'. All sorts of things such as geometry alignment and new shocks sprung to mind. Didn't sound cheap to fix.

Thought that I'd try the tyre pressures as a cheapest route potential fix. So I dropped into the garage on the way over to Phillpot's this morning.

The handbook says 24psi all round and the tyres were anything from 15psi in one of the rears to 20psi in one of the fronts.

The drive home from Mike's happily confirmed that it was fixed.
Still it did cost me 50p to blow the tyres up.

Good to hear was such a simple fix, now its safe I'll let you take me out in it next time.

Nice looking car Bob, get that woodwork tidied up and will be a real good'un.

Has anyone veneered the dash and console panel ? shouldn't be too difficult, they're both flat (door trims could be a little more aukward).

Mike, I figure that the dash veneering is a job for the winter. I want to get some miles under my belt in this cracking weather after being without one for so long.

Anytime you want to go shotgun or have a test drive is fine by me. Have a good time in the wilds of Scotland.

Good news Havent checked mine for a couple of weeks, and more than couple of hundred miles. Will do that now. Nice to meet you Yesterday, nice car. no doubt will meet again!
