possible exhaust on TVR S1 ?

Hi everybody,

I know there are many topics that deal with this issue but I prefer to create a new.


I've recently baught a TVR S1. the car is fantastic but the exhaust is too noisy for my use.
it's a cherry bomb exhaust.

too noisy on long trip in the mountains. I went to Como Lake and the journey through the Alps Mountains but the trip was tiring.

I would like an exhaust near from the origin, what are the best options for you?

I saw this video, the sound is superb (like a V8) but I did not realize the noise level. Is it too noisy?

I found Nick staring longingly at that, I think he likes the exhaust. Are you selling the exhaust off?

I know Ray who owned the car before Ed who you bought it from fitted those cherry bombs on the back - to quieten it down!
He said it was unbelievably loud before - he thought the centre box had the pipes and wadding removed.
It might be worth opening up the centre box to see if you could re-instate it?

I think too that the central box has a problem.

ago as the unpleasant noise of a metal plate vibration that covers standard noise.

Well, as expected I miss the car a LOT.

Credit to it's new owner Simon, who's 1st drive was a mighty 750 mile journey home, almost without stop. TVRs unreliable? Pah!

The one left here is the original spec for S1, there was one on ebay recently (I'm sure posted from a regular contributor to this site?). Not cheap!

I've got an S1 and I love the exhaust (baffles have been renewed) but I alos have a birt of a tinny rattle at 4000 revs. Depending on my mood ! change gear or rev through it!
