bonnet hinge broken

the bottom part of the square tube has broken/ rotted. Can it be welded safely? or do I need to replace, if so whats the proceedure do they have to be glassed in, any help would be great, think this latest problem has scupered any chance of attending s club but hope to be more sorted next year.

I vaguely recall that someone (TVR car parts?) stocks the box section bit the hinge bolts to. But someone that's not been drinking may be along with better advice soon

Do you mean the square tube on the corner of the chassis? Just weld it.

If its just this bit, as said, simple welding job no fibreglassing involved.
