Sorry but I've got to moan somewhere!!!
Brillant track day 24/5th at Hullavington,Sat/Sun touring in Dorset with Mrs, top down whole time, fantastic, even Mrs congratulating me on buying the S2,
OK so far?
Go out yesterday ,sunny evening good for a spin, turn key.....nothing. Some investigation batt ok,all electrics working but no dimming of lights when turn key. Took wire direct from batt to solenoid ign switch starter turns. Checked instructions for toad immobiliser, looks like not recognizing fob. Anyway will now have to wait till tues to contact auto electrician. Fortunately I have the original receipt from the fitter who isn't far away.I think I might get him to tidy up wiring behind dash, seems to be a lot extra from previous stereos etc.Interestingly cant find wiring to oil press light on curved display,I usually watch guage but still....
moan over, hope the rest of you are out and about!

sympathy welcome, any ideas for bypassing immobilser even more welcome

You could always push it to the nearest dubious area, hide around the corner, let the scallies get their jump leads out then re-appear at the right moment, sorted immob bypassed other than that I'd wait till tuesday, unless a reformed scallie is on this site and will pass you the details sorry can't be of help.

It won't be connected, I think they put "optional extra" or something in the handbook like the low fuel light.The gauge will have to do I'm afraid

Since you have the light, it's a simple enough job to wire it up to a low pressure switch - and well worth doing IMO. How often do you look at the gauge when you're "pressing on"? It only takes a moment's oil surge to kill the engine.

Where should the pressure be at when running, mine seems to settle at 75 and when low on water seems to increase to 80/85!?
