Clutch fluid

Hi Guys can anybody tell me if i have the correct cluth fluid at the moment i have dot 5.1 is that correct. cheers

DOT 3,4 or 5.1 they will mix and it's not really critical which for a clutch there's not the same amount of heat going on that there is with the brakes.

Just do not use DOT5 it is Silicon based.

DOT 4 or 5.1 will be fine. DOT 3 would also probably be ok but definitely do not use DOT 5!

DOT 5.1 is probably over kill for a clutch as the clutch fluid shouldn't get hot at all so you only need 4 but if you have a bottle of 5.1 then it's fine to use it.
