Air flow meter- V8S

I need to get my hands on a replacement air flow meter for my 1991 V8S. The car currently has a Lucas/Hitachi 3AM afm fitted. I am finding this difficult to source secondhand. I have found one of the later Lucas/Hitachi 5AM afm's at a 4X4 parts place (new and at a really good price compared to TVR). Does anyone know if this is OK to be fitted in place of the earlier model? On p66 of the Bible II there is a pic which shows the afm on a V8S (presumably later model than mine)and I think it is the 5AM but cannot quite make out the numbers on it!
I am assuming that the standard parts have not been modded/tweaked by TVR, if anyone knows different please let me know before i burn the cash!

Mine says it is an AM5.
