help please running rough

Fellas, I need advice, help etc, I needed to rebuild the top end of my engine and all went well. The first start up was ok and I had to tweek up hoses etc, the engine suddenley raced a tad and died, I restarted it and it`s been running rough since. I`ve gone straight for the throttle pot, disconnected it and no difference, the engine is running rich and sounds as though it`s hunting, the tick over fluctuates and it will not rev properley, I`m struggling and need help, cheers for any tips.

(1) The multi-way plugs and sockets located around the top off side of the engine that connect sensors and injectors to the Electronic Control Unit (ECU).
I had the same hunting, misfire problem for the first year of my car. Always worse when the car had warmed up.
Took it to Steve Gugis of Daventry.
Dave the mechanic who has owned s`s in the past diagnosed rusty multi way plugs . They spent an hour cleaning these - they were green with rust.
Then hey presto car has been normal ever since.

Cheers, for the info and the link, I gave up today in pure frustration.
