My temperature guage sender has gone dodgy, anyone know where the original came from?

The temp gauge sender located under the throttle body on the inlet manifold is standard ford. Make sure it si the sender and not the inline resistor attached to the sender in line. You may not have this fitted but most seem to.

I still havn't yet sorted out my sender. The guage reads high, but the engine behaves as normal so I assum a dodgy reading.

I have taken off the resistor, the gauge now reads even higher! - just to check - what value resistance should this be - does anyone know?

Where should I look next - sender, guage or engine?

the resistance should decrease as the temp increases,i would think.sure i read about it in the bible ,hang on its on page 59!too long to list but it gives you the correct ohms compared to temp.
