core plug corroded,slight leak in radiator, handbrake cable, rear shoes, ratteling clutch slave cylinder, half shaft gater... and thats only the important stuff. heater is broken suspension is getting tired plus no end of cosmetics I did my reserch and knew what I was buying in to, seems to be one thing after another, fix one thing and two more break. have wanted this car since I was 13 why does it hate me?
Patience Mike, nothing worth doing is never easy. It will be worth it and the satisfaction will be to say I did all that. Cars always need something especially if your pride n joy is your pride n joy. Tough it out my friend, it will be worth it. Post some pics for us to see your progress too. 
you off just down tools and walk away, I've had months when I haven't touched it, next time you pick up a spanner you have fresh eyes and energy and get loads done in a day.Sell the damn thing. S series TVR's are unreliable, noisy, hopeless for visits to the garden centre and spares cost a fortune - just look at the cost of those indicator lenses.
With the proceeds there's a nice Perodua Kelisa in the classifieds for £3900, 4 years old and just 7K miles. It will be totally reliable and with that fire breathing One Litre engine you'll probably hit 45mpg. I believe the rear seats fold down so that flat pack greenhouse will fit nicely in. The added advantage is that on those rare visits to the petrol station you won't be pestered by people asking what it is.
So, with the benefit of the broader picture, pick up those spanners, set just one goal at a time and see you on the road.....
