ive only just replaced the spark plugs, leads, dizzy,
coolant, oil, brakes and im about to have a cam belt change but my car is due for a service and i dont want all these done again so does my car just need a check over or will i have to have a service to get the book stamped
(plus i guess there'd do other stuff but i dont want to pay for things i've only just done)
any advice would be great thanks

Just tell them what you have done and ask them to do the rest and give the car a general look over. then ask them how much they want to complete the service and stamp the service book (they'll do it for you ok if they want the work) If its your TVR they expect some owners to do some work themselves and I'm sure if you go to a specialist rather than a main dealer they would be prepaired to give you an allowance for what you have done. As long as they find you have done a good job you should be ok.

There is a cam chain. The only thing that needs any attention. Very rarely though, and mines done 91000 on the original without any issue is the the Cam chain Tensioner. There is no belt...

2.9 is chain driven, 2.8 is gear driven.
