Dear Enthusiasts,
I hope we all startet well in the new Year 2011.
By the way I have 2 Questions to the 2.9L V6 and the Gearbox.
In my car ist an N9 Gearbox and the Engine is a 169PS Version.
Now question 1: How did they push the Engine from 145/150PS to 169PS.
Question 2: is it possible to mount an MT75 Gearbox in the S3.

I'm putting an MT75 box in mine
you need a hybrid with a V6 front end and a 2ltre rear
they appear on fleabay from time to time
I had a gearbox company do mine (Select a Gear in Middlesbrough)
but I also have a magazine article if you want to do your own - it does sound straight forward
(PracticalPerformanceCar Mag from last year)

Why a MT75. Ok I can have one with 0km.
The Wheels are Revolution with 225/60 R 15 for Summer.
Between Oktober an April i have the original Wheels with 205 Winter Tyres.
But I dont drive in Winter if the Road is salted.

is it a proper 2 wheel drive v6 MT75 or a 2 litre one - the v6 is rare in 2wd form, normally 4wd which is why it is necessary to marry it with a 2wd rear casing.
Also you will need a different gearbox mounting and a modified propshaft. So there are additional costs.
It is a much strnger box (also synchro on reverse!!!!!!!) but not usually necessary on an engine with less than 200bhp as the standard type 9 is usually good enough (in good condition)

That looks like a Paint Code but I cant see it on this list... ?
