Ridedrive course

I know that Ride Drive get quite a lot of press on PH but thought I'd add my comments as I did mine in the S. I did a day long course at the end of October/ beginning of November and thought I'd add to the recommendations they get.
I did 2 half days and really feel my driving improved as a result. I was a little worried before that it would be too much of a lecture on slow noddy driving rather than fun but safe driving but it actually made me feel much safer about chucking the S around B roads. I always thought I was a good driver but wanted to learn about how to control the car as I managed to spin it in the wet when I wasn't concentrating a year or so ago. Being told exactly what your weak points are though is a good wake up call and helps stamp them out. (I must admit I had quite a few!)
My first half day included an hour of 'assessment' driving so the instructor could see my bad habits, followed by a half hour chat to point them out and correct them. He also told me how I should be driving and I spent the rest of the half day trying to put them all into practice.
I then had a week break putting everything into place and practicing at half speed in my jelly suspension Terios (
) before going back and showing how far I had come in the S as well as getting more advice on where I could improve my technique.
I can suggest this course to anyone even if you think your a great driver even if it just reinforces your view and gives you a few helpful tips!
