New plate. I asked them not to drill them out so I could position the tub on them put the holes in the right place.

I didn't paint it. After shot blasting and welding it was powder coated and baked. (Regulo 5)
All done by Pro-coat Newbury.

Welding done was complete new side rails and spine to side rails tubes (in 3 or 4 places) New corner plates both sides and new seat belt mount upstands.

Also in the price was shot balt and etch prime of:-
Trailing arms
Wishbones
Vertical links
ARB
Swirl pot
Road springs
Plus shot blast and powder coat of:-
Battery tray
Rad mount
Various other brakets and mounts.

All for £958 inc VAT

Seems fair enoungh to me, southern prices and all that. ;-)

Very competitive. Nick's paid around £900 for his chassis to be shot blasted and welded, which was a pretty good price. That doesn't include powder coating though, you got a very good deal!

It really looks great when it comes back from powder coating.

I thought long and hard about coating my outriggers with additional protection and in the end I though it would be foolish not to while they are pristine and you can get to them. I did cry while I coated them
