Made me smile as I watched the auction end...I wanted the boxes for time and memorial but not at that price!! Pound for pound worth more than Gold!!
There will be plenty more lurking out there. Hope the buyer uses them!

They were orginally off a Leyland Sherpa van and were about a fiver each.

IMHO they never looked like they fitted the car properly at all, and are exactly the kind of thing that a lot of owners would have "upgraded" by chucking them in the nearest skip and finding something that looked as though it was meant to fit.

Still, what price originality eh? (Answer - £140 and rising!)
