FUEL HOSE TANK TO PUMP SUPPLIER

Rebuild of S3C continues and as I progress I will post any useful bits I come across. So heres the first- an online supplier for the hydraulic hose used for tank to pump.http://www.hoseworld.com/acatalog/SAE_100_R1AT___DIN_20022_1SN.html
£15.67 for two metres with quick delivery. Next job repipe rest of fuel system without using cable ties!

Why is this hydraulic hose, there is no pressure on this section is there?
Need to change mine when I get around to putting the refurbed tank frame on.

Identical spec to original fitted by TVR. It's a large bore pipe probably to allow a good flow rate. I reckon they went for hydraulic hose as it has a wire reinforcement and hence is very stiff and would resist the sides being sucked in by the draw from the pump.

I suggest you check to see if its OK for unleaded petrol, the first hose which was to replace mine wasnt and a test piece in a jar of petrol resuled in black sluge

I did test SAE100 hose prior to fitting to Normans car and the fuel softened the internal rubber..

No the OE spec on this hose is EN1360 hardwall petrol hose. Adrian@

I fitted some 15mm cotton braided hose (FH016) from Glencoe Ltd , clicky ,over a year ago and although it is not "hard walled" have had no problems, and it is definately suitable for unleaded petrol,(and very reasonably priced !)

Did TVR use the wire mesh reinforced stuff because it is so near the exhaust? I wraped mine in heat-shielding as well just to be sure.
