Questions on shot blasting and powder coating

I'm assuming the following can be blasted and powder coated...

1. Chassis
2. Upper and lower wishbone arms
3. Wishbone vertical link
4. Front and rear road springs (Though probably not coated?)
5. Disc calipers (Painted [Hi Temp] not coated)
6. ARB
7. Trailing arms.
8. Ancilleries such as swirl pot, rad mount, battery tray etc.

Is it worth Hammeriting over the powder coat? or it that a bit too much. Waxoyl perhaps.

Also has anyone tried sealing the gap between chassis tube and GRP tub? As in....



Or does it wobble too much?

had my chassis powder coated red with the wishbones a diff frame anti roll bar in satin black and the brake calipers have been
stripped, electroplated and rebuilt with new seals.

NO - if you mean the drop link the rubber can't go in the powder coat oven - it could be blasted though. -- see comments posted below --

Can't see a problem with coating - I'd try it anyway if it flakes off just paint them. I doubt it will powder coating is bloody tough if done right.
5. Disc calipers (Painted [Hi Temp] not coated)
I honestly think calipers would be OK coated - you'll have to strip them though to remove all rubber parts and you don't want any powder coat in the piston bore.

8. Ancilleries such as swirl pot, rad mount, battery tray etc.
YES! YES! YES!

If you're blinging engine then rocker covers look good chassis colour.[/b]

Hammerite will chip off I wouldn't bother. Waxoyl yes maybe - I have coated my outriggers I thought it as too good an opportunity to miss with the body off

I wouldn't bother - and it will trap water

Note that the chassis will need to be degreased before going to the blasters - they do not like oil and grease. Also if there's any rubber bits stuck to the chassis get them off - the shot just bounces off and won't touch it.

Rubber components cannot go in the powder coating oven - its bloody hot in there

Would obviously have to be totally stripped of hub, bearings and top 'n bottom ball joints

Yes I think I misinterpreted that bit - I didn't get my hub carriers blasted as it had the bearing in there - I used a wire brush & black smoothrite.
