James Agger some time ago was advertising space saver wheels for £20 each, but pickup only. He's Loughborough / East Midlands based.
I'm guessing he's may still have some.

hi guys, I have done some homework, you may be aware the standard space saver tyre is actualy the wrong radius for our 205/60/15s i have changed to a 125/90/15 it fits in the boot fine and i also noticed if you ignore the strap and shuffle it to the left there is actually more room!

For the amount you're probably going to use it I don't think the smaller diameter is an issue ( ask Wizz, he's done a few miles with one on the rear). differential will compensate for it.

same size is provided in the Chimeara and that has 16" rear wheels.

You have a strap to secure yours ? Mine (1990 S3) is bolted in.

I do the same when the roof is in the boot but ALWAYS make sure I secure it properly when when the roof is on - ages ago I read somewhere (probably in this forum!) that someone had some stress cracks appear on the rear wheel arch and the likely cause was the spare rolling around in the boot

thanks Norman, bit complicated but i m sorted now... if you weave the strap round the wheel it sits further left and wont move. thanks again everyone
